Happy Holidays: Mom Ann

Ann1Dearest Child,

I am imagining you joining in with my family and me to celebrate the holiday. When you come in out of the snow, there is the fragrant smell of our Christmas tree! The lights are brightly lit, and we all help finish trimming the tree. When the star is set on the top, it’s beautiful!

We head to visit family with little ones first, seeing the kids open their gifts and playing and eating.  Imagine coming along and enjoying this with us!  When we get home we have to watch ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ on Christmas Eve (per Dad and he always cries!).  In fact, we all have a little mist in our eyes, because having such a beautiful, loving soul as you are, in our midst, even for just for a few days, is like having an angel in our home! You are perfect, in whichever way you identify, as you were always meant to be, and we love and admire your individuality, strength, and beauty.

This is the TRUE meaning of Christmas: it’s all about love!  In the morning imaging awakening to the wonderful music that I’ve got blasting throughout the house. Singing and laughter are the staples of the day.  Then we’ll all sit down for a homemade pancake breakfast.  After that, we’ll open our gifts to one another.  Again, lots of laughs ring out.   Then we all pitch in to get the bird stuffed and into the oven.  Now we can all play games! Twister anyone?

Maybe an afternoon of tobogganing down the hills, or a family skating party, followed by treats and hot chocolate.  Finally, the roast turkey and trimmings are all done and laid out at our festive table.  Candles lit, friends and family assembled, thanks given for the wonderful glow of love all around our table, and then the feast begins. Afterward, Dad wants to watch his newest movie.

We’re all just lying around in our PJ’s, until it’s time to make late night turkey sandwich snacks.   We’re thrilled to have you join in with the mayhem, abundance, and love.

WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU! XOX MERRY CHRISTMAS SWEETHEART, AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Love,

Mom Ann
