YOU Are Loved!

From US Thanksgiving Day through New Years Day, you’ll find letters, audio posts, and videos created by moms (and this year, other friends and family) who are lovingly supportive of ALL children who identify as LGBTQ. This is the kick-off video which came from the 2011 audio recording that was the spark of inspiration for this site.

I just wanted to say that this is an awesome idea for a site! I have many friends in the LGBTQ community. I pray that some day all will be loved and accepted for who they are! Love and hugs to all! May you find the support you need to continue on your journey and find peace within!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

First of all, thank you. I watched this video and read some of the letters and cried all the way through. I can’t describe how much it means to hear how supportive people are. I wish I could talk to my mum and tell the truth about myself but the fear of her reaction is too much. But then some like you comes along and makes me feel a little bit safer and little bit more like it’s ok to be me. Some days it’s hard and I feel like it’s not worth the struggle because I feel so alone but when I find a website like this I see the good that there is in the world. Everyone that contributes to this makes the world a better place. So, to you all, thank you.

Thank you. Unfortunately I am unable to share my true self with my own mother. While I know she loves me, it is comforting to hear and read words of acceptance from other mothers and gives me hope that she will one day say these things to me as I would to my own children in the future.

I listened to and cried through two of these letters (Mamabear’s, and Mama Sunshine’s, in that order) before coming to listen to the introductory video. I wanted to thank the founder of the project for organizing this troupe of such strong, healing presences, and for putting something out into the world that so many kids like me need to find. Having stumbled upon the website on accident, I never imagined I would recognize the very founder I wanted to thank – but now that I’ve listened to your letter, Robin, I also want to thank you for something else.

I want to thank you for raising the man who got me through my childhood alive. I can say without a doubt (although I’d never tell him so) that if it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t still be here. In this way, your actions affected me long before this website came into being.

It’s funny how that worked out.

Grace, how beautiful to hear that. If we all do something, even little things, it makes a difference. So glad to have touched you today!
